This week, Umission honors Sarah “Jonesey” Johnson, Person of the Week, and is making a donation to the charity of her choice Left Bank Books River City Readers of St. Louis, Missouri. The mission of this nonprofit program is to increase literacy and promote a love of reading. St. Louis Public School students receive new books for their personal library and meet authors throughout the year. Hats off to River City Readers for bringing Pulitzer Prize winners, bestselling authors, and Broadway stars into St. Louis classrooms and inspiring young children to become better readers and writers.
