This week Umission honors Libby Hoffman, and is making a donation to the charity of her choice Catalyst for Peace for Fambul Tok. Catalyst for Peace is a Portland, Maine based foundation that identifies and supports community based peacebuilding work around the world. Current work focuses on post-conflict Africa, and also on the ways moderate religious voices are mobilizing for peace. Hats off to Catalyst for Peace and Fambul Tok for being committed to finding the stories that aren’t being told, learning from the lessons of local cultures, and supporting their role in peacemaking, and disseminating these lessons to a global audience.
