This week Umission honors Kate McAleer, chocolatier and maker of Bixby Bars. Umission is making a donation to the charity of her choice the Maine Women’s Fund. The mission of the Maine Women’s Fund is to transform the lives of Maine women and girls through strategic grant making, community engagement and support to nonprofit organizations dedicated to social change. Hats off to the Society for being passionate in their belief that when women and girls thrive, communities prosper.
